Mission Statement
The North County Senior Softball
league is a not for profit self-governing league providing a physical outlet
for the senior, male athlete who desires a competitive environment. We offer
the athlete an opportunity to interact with other players in a fair and
ethical manner. Our goal is to create an atmosphere for team
play, which fosters respect for the individual and the game.
Who We Are
We are a group of fifty year
old and up slow-pitch, male softball players. We have four teams and play twice
a week, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, every week of the year. Our games
are played at Bradley Field in San Marcos and Brengle Terrace in Vista.
We would like to have you join
our group. If you are a male, 50 years of age or older, and have played slow-pitch
softball before, go to our
Contact page and fill out the
application form.
Visit our
Links page and find information on Senior Softball locally and nationwide,
as well as sporting goods web sites offering competitive prices on softball
equipment.
Bulletin Board
The vote on the walk rule was No -
37 and Yes - 17. Therefore there will be no changes.
There will be no Christmas party
this year, so it has been decided that there will be a party at
Round Table after a game at Brengle. All players and spouses
or girlfriends are invited. As soon as the flyer is circulated
with a proposed date, let JT know if you are going to participate so
arrangements can be made.
The Navy League
(Warrior Foundation) sent us a letter of appreciation for our
donation. If you wish to read the letter,

Adobe Reader
Note to North County
Senior Softball players. I have listed the schedule and roster
in PDF format. This will allow you to print the documents
properly. To get Adobe Reader, click on the link below and it
will be downloaded to you computer. It is free and works in
the background. You will know you need it if you cannot open
the PDF files for the schedule and the roster. When the page
opens, click on the Download button. Also, if you don't want
the Adobe Photoshop Album Starter program, uncheck that box before
clicking on the Download Adobe Reader button. On the
next page you can uncheck the Yahoo Toolbar. You don't need it
and I would recommend not using it. Most of you probably
already have it. If you have a problem call me.

Stretching
I added a link to a web page,
under Sports Injury Info, called
Stretching 101.
There are 13 sections on different stretching exercises and the
muscles they affect. |
